One could say, Stacey comes from a show business family, but it wasn’t until her late teens that Stacey was even aware of the entertainment industry. Until that point, she focused on her love of animals and nature. Growing up in a then-rural suburb of Los Angeles, she was surrounded by horses, dogs, cats, chickens and any other critter that needed a helping hand. Finally, in high school she was encouraged to take an acting class to “bring her out of her shell” and suddenly the shy, quiet kid’s deeply rooted creative side emerged; from that point on her life was never the same.

Stacey quickly dove into the entertainment business. She worked in small theatre productions around Los Angeles and graduated from the esteemed Joe Blasco Makeup School. Wanting to learn about every part of the business, she began working for PM Entertainment in domestic distribution and helped market over 70 “B-Movies” in the US. She was directly involved with key art and promotion which gave her an eye towards the bigger picture of filmmaking and what is needed to grab the attention of the public.

In the late 90’s, she set out on the road with a small group of filmmakers and produced a tiny film that the team later “four-walled” around the South East. Since the days of micro-budget filmmaking, Stacey has worked on projects for larger networks including specials for CBS and ABC, Warner Brothers, A&E, Lifetime, USA, and Travel Channel. She is proud to have worked on numerous A&E Biographies and as a producer on LOOK UP IN THE SKY: THE AMAZING STORY OF SUPERMAN.

In 2006, Stacey’s career was sidelined by a health crisis. In the months that followed, she opted for a slower pace and began to work for her equine veterinarian which inspired her to use her creative energy to help animals. She teamed up with CLEAR (Canine Lymphoma Education Awareness and Research) for her directorial debut, MY FRIEND: CHANGING THE JOURNEY, a feature-length documentary made to educate pet owners about canine cancer.

Stacey formed Zippery Zoo Productions in 2013 and is thrilled to create film and television projects with an eye toward making the world a better place. A REASON TO CHANGE is a huge step in that direction.
